JU students vandalise murals, graffiti of Mujib & Hasina

A group of agitating students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) last night vandalised the Mural of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina on the campus.

Some students gathered at the Bottola area around 11.30pm and marched toward the Institute of Comparative Literature building.

They vandalised a mural of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the institute wall and removed graffiti from the wall of Al Beruni Hall.

Later, the protesters went to Sheikh Hasina Hall where they vandalised the Mural of Sheikh Hasina and removed the graffiti of her family members.

A group of protesters went to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman hall to remove the hall’s nameplate. The residential students of the hall finally removed the nameplate following a discussion.

Besides, students of Sheikh Russel hall changed the name of the hall and named it as Bijoy 24 hall. (BSS)
