Chief adviser’s relief fund received 97.18 crores so far

Azam, Bir Protik today, on behalf of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad
Yunus, received cheques of Taka 20 lakhs and seven thousand from different
organizations and individuals for the victims of recent floods.

After receiving the donation at his ministry office this afternoon, the
adviser thanked the individuals and institutions for standing by the flood
victims, said a ministry press release.

Of the organisations, Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL)
provided Taka 15 lakhs and Beacon Pharmaceuticals gave Taka three lakhs while
Masud Pervej donated Taka 2 lakhs seven thousands.

So far, the disaster and relief ministry received 331 bank instruments worth
total Taka 97, 18, 59,203 donated by various organizations and persons to the
relief fund of the Chief Adviser. (BSS)
