3 bikers die in Satkhira road accident

Three motorcyclists were killed as their bike collided head-on with a truck on the Satkhira-Khulna highway in the Binerpota BSCIC area under Satkhira Sadar upazila here this morning.

The deceased are Arizul Gazi, 28, son of Akbar Ali Gazi, resident of Jhikargachha upazila in Jashore district, Asadul Islam Fakir, 55, son of Shamsur Kabir, resident of Tala upazila in Satkhira district, and Abdus Selim, 35, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Sujan Shah village under Tala upazila of the same district.

When the trio were going to Patkelghata from Satkhira riding on a motorcycle, their motorcycle collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction around 5am, leaving them dead on the spot, sub-inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station Biswajit Sarkar said.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said. (BSS)
