Police-Hindu community view-exchange held in Rangamati

A view- exchange meeting was held today between the representatives of the Hindu community and district police on various issues, including maintaining communal harmony in the district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district Mir Abu Tauhid presided over the discussion at the office of the SP this morning.

The SP said strict action will be taken against anyone who attacks the Hindu community and indulges in any anarchy, looting and arson anywhere.

He also said that care will be taken to ensure that no one is subjected to any kind of harassment.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Maruf Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Shah Newaz Raju, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Shah Imran, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Saiful Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Mohammad Ali, DB OC Manas Barua, Bangladesh Puja Celebration Council President Amlendu Howladar, representatives of various temples and journalists, among others, were present.
