Bangladesh all out for 310 in its first innings

Bangladesh were bowled out for their overnight 310 in their first innings of the two-match series-opening Test against New Zealand today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

New Zealand skipper and fast bowler Tim Southee got the wicket of Shoriful Islam in the first ball of day two to end Bangladesh’s innings. This was the only wicket of Southee in this innings.

Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy was the top-scorer for the side with 86. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque made identical 37.

Three other batters could reach 20-plus runs but couldn’t convert it into a big knock.

Offspinner Glenn Phillips claimed 4-37 to be the most successful bowler for New Zealand in this innings while Kyle Jamieson and Ajaz Patel took two wickets apiece. (BSS)
