Dhaka district AL pays homage to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

Leaders of Dhaka district Awami League (AL) today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Leaders of Dhaka district AL led by its President Bir Muktijoddha Benazir Ahmed, MP, and General Secretary Paniruzzaman Tarun placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara this afternoon.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman MP, members of the executive committee and advisory council of Dhaka district Awami League, among others, were present.

After laying the wreath, the AL leaders stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of Bangladesh’s independence.

A special doa, seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as martyrs of the War of Liberation, was also offered.

A special prayer was also offered wishing long life and good health of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members. (BSS)
