Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rajshahi, Chattogram & Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi, while today’s minimum temperature 21.6 degrees Celsius was  recorded at Netrokona.

The highest rainfall was recorded 112mm at Sylhet in the last 24 hours till 6am today.

The sun sets at 6:48pm today and rises at 5:11am tomorrow in the capital. (BSS)
