Substantial and sustainable promotion of
skilled youth can be the best way of ensuring sustainable development in the
country.
Utmost emphasis should be given on transforming them into competent human
resources. All the government and non-government agencies concerned should
come forward and work together to attain the cherished goal.
Government officials and other stakeholders came up with the observation
while addressing post-rally discussion on the issue here today.
District Administration and Department of Youth Development (DYD) jointly
organised the discussion at the office conference hall of Deputy Commissioner
(DC) to mark the National Youth Day-2023.

through giving quality education alongside developing a sense of patriotism.
Commissioner Dr Humayun Kabir stressed the need for building the youths as
skilled workforce through imparting them with different vocational training.
He viewed that many youths become derailed due to lack of proper care and
nursing and ultimately they became a burden to society.
The chief guest urged the youths to extend their whole-hearted cooperation to
the law enforcement agencies to protect the young generation from drug abuse.
In his remarks, Prof Rabiul Islam said ensuring leadership training for
students and the youths in particular has become an urgent need for
transforming them into worthy citizens.
He viewed the role of youths as well as the students is very vital for
creating mass-awareness together with forging a social resistance against
extremism and militancy at higher educational institutions.
As a whole, the students should be groomed as social watchdog so that they
can contribute to society and the nation positively.
Shaheen Akhter Rainy called for ensuring safe space for youths for their
proper physical and mental grooming so that they could be transformed into
worthy citizens for betterment of the society.
She observed leadership and capacity development among youths in general is
very vital for making them social contributors.
Earlier, they brought out a colourful rally from the collectorate building
premises to mark the day and the rally ended at the meeting venue after
