BNP will be resisted if it tries to create anarchy: Quader

Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul
Quader today warned that BNP would not be spared if it tries to resort to
anarchy on October 28 next.

“The AL will allow BNP to hold its rally on October 28 if the party does not
try to create chaos in the country on that day,” said Quader, also the road
transport and bridges minister.

He came up with the remarks while speaking at an extended meeting of Dhaka
South City unit of AL held at the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office
in the capital this afternoon.

Pointing out that no government can be toppled through a movement setting a
specific timeframe, he said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina repaired the
country but BNP destroyed it.

The AL general secretary said BNP’s colourful dream of Dhaka siege will fall
flat, alleging that they (BNP leaders) are now out to destroy the country’s
democracy.

Claiming that the Awami League wants peace, he said BNP could not have held a
single rally if the AL wanted chaos.

Quader said the BNP’s movement reached the brink of ditch due to its wrong
politics.

He said the AL will hold peace and development rally on October 28 next and
urged the AL leaders and workers to make it a success.

AL presidium members Shajahan Khan, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Kamrul
Islam and Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, organising secretary Mirza Azam, Dhaka
South City AL president Abu Ahmed Mannafi, its general secretary Humayun
Kabir, among others, also spoke at the meeting. (BSS)
