World Tourism Day observed in Bogura

The World Tourism Day-2023 was observed in the district today highlighting the country’s various rich tourism products and services.

This year’s theme of the day is “Tourism and Green Investment”. Marking the day, the government and different organisations had chalked out various programmes.

Member of Parliament from Bogura-6 constituency and General Secretary of Bogura District Awami League Ragebul Ahsan Ripu and Bogura Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Saiful Islam jointly inaugurated the programme this morning.

On the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out from the premises of the district administration which paraded the important streets and ended coming at the district administration premises this morning.

After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner office while Ragebul Ahsan Ripu addressed the function as the chief guest with DC Md. Saiful Islam in the chair.

Additional Superintendent of Police Abdur Rashid, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Al-Maruf, District Education Officer Hazrat Ali, among others, also spoke. (BSS)
