Tokyo stocks open lower

Tokyo stocks opened slightly lower on
Tuesday despite modest gains on Wall Street.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.18 percent, or 59.26 points, at
32,619.36 in early trade, while the broader Topix index lost 0.01 percent, or
0.35 points, at 2,385.15. (BSS/AFP)
