Man held with firearms, drugs in Rajshahi

In an-anti-crime operation, police arrested a man with two firearms and drugs along with his motorbike from a village in the district last night.

The detained person has been identified as Selim Ali, 33, son of Nakim Uddin of Jhikra village under Charghat upazila in the district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saifur Rahman said they arrested Selim with two firearms, two bullets, 500 grams of heroin and 52 bottles of phensedyl from Bankishore Bazar area under Charghat upazila around 11.30 pm.

He said Selim is an absconding accused of multiple cases. (BSS)
