Voters in the Central African Republic went to the polls on Sunday in a referendum on a new constitution that would allow President Faustin-Archange Touadera to seek a third term, an AFP journalist saw.

Touadera’s opponents say he wants to remain “president for life” in a country which has endured several coups and is one of the world’s poorest. (BSS/AFP)
