Fargana first Tigress to hit century in Int’l cricket

Fargana Hoque Pinky became the first Bangladeshi woman cricketer to hit a century in the International cricket when she made 107 against India in the series deciding third and final ODI at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

Thanks to her century, Bangladesh posted a respectable 225-4, their second highest total after 234-7 against Pakistan.

Fargana played 160 balls for her knock and hammered seven boundaries.

Earlier, Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun were the joint highest individual scorer for Bangladesh with 75 runs.

Fargana’s ODI best was 71.

Bangladesh won the rain-hit first ODI by 40 runs before India leveled the series with massive 108-run victory in the second game. (BSS)
