Govt creates 2.08 lakh fresh posts in last 4-yrs, Farhad tells JS

Farhad Hossain today said the government has approved some 2.08 lakh fresh
posts in public service during its third-term.

The state minister said this while responding to a star-marked question
raised by treasury bench lawmaker Syeda Rubina Akhter of women seat-28 in the
question-answer session which was tabled at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) here with
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

“As per the demand of different ministries and divisions, the Public
Administration has given its consent for creating some 2,00008 posts during
the third-term of the incumbent government between the period of 2019 and
2023,” he said.

The ministries and the divisions concerned have issued government order (GO)
after taking all the necessary formalities.

During this period, Farhad Hossain said the public administration has
appointed a total of 16,029 people in different cadres as per the
recommendation by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) through
conducting the 37th to 42nd BCS examinations.

Terming the recruitment process is a continuous process, the state minister
said: “Now the recruitment process is going on under all the ministries and
divisions of the government.” (BSS)
