Bangladesh-US can work together to help youths to be entrepreneurs: Asif Mahmud

Adviser of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has said Bangladesh and the US can work in unison to make the youths capable for the international marketplace alongside patronizing their startup programmes to help them become entrepreneurs.

He made the appeal when the US Embassy Charge d’Affaires Helen LaFave paid a courtesy call on the adviser at the ministry office at Secretariat here today.

During the meetings, they have discussed labour policy, ILO labour roadmap, labour action plan, labour protection, global labour policy, rights of the labour, human rights, demographic dividend and various issues of the ministries of Youth and Sports and Labour and Employment.

Mentioning that the last fascist government has destroyed the sports sectors, the adviser said, “The Youth and Sports Ministry has been working sincerely to run each of the federations with appointing efficient people by depoliticize the sports sector.”

Asif Mahmud, also adviser of the Labour and Employment Ministry, mentioned that the main problem of the fascist government was distance with the labours, saying, “We have removed the distance and are working tirelessly to solve their problems in accordance with the international labour law after visiting them in person.”

He said the new Bangladesh is the outcome of the revolution of the brave young generation. (BSS)
