Injured of recent protests receiving proper care at BGB hospital: Home Advisor

Home Affairs Adviser to the interim
government Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today said
people who were injured during the anti-discrimination student movement are
receiving world-class care under the supervision of a number of renowned
doctors at the BGB Hospital here.

He made the remarks while replying to the queries of the newsmen present at
Pilkhana Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) hospital premises this morning,
shortly after visiting the injured BGB members and students.

He said: “The patients at the BGB hospital are in good hands. They have been
doing better than before. The hospital authorities are working sincerely to
provide them with necessary treatment and care.”

“The Director General (DG) of the BGB has said some more patients will be
brought to the hospital for better treatment,” he said.

The advisor then urged the countrymen to come forward along with the interim
government and to work from their respective positions to ensure good care of
the injured.

Earlier, he personally spoke to the injured BGB members and students admitted
there and enquired about their treatment.

He also gave instructions to all concerned officials including the BGB DG to
ensure better medication for them.

The DG Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, along with senior
officials of the BGB headquarters were present at the time of his hospital
