BCB arranges food for the ‘traffic police’ students

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has arranged food for the students working in controlling traffic in the road around Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

A total of 250 food packets were distributed by BCB media department employees to the volunteers who helped the vehicles move around the stadium.

The policemen went on strike due to the situation arising after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation from the post of Prime Minister and leaving the country.

The members of the traffic police have also moved away from the road. At this time, students and volunteers of various institutions have come to work as traffic police at every intersection to prevent chaos in the road.

When someone is controlling the road signal, other are busy obstructing the driver if he does not obey the signal. This has reduced the suffering, which led to less traffic jam in the raod.

Students helping traffic are also warning motorcyclists without helmets on the road. Those who violate the rules, are kept waiting for five to 10 minutes in the road as a punishment. Apart from that the students are also doing road cleaning work. (BSS)
