Rwanda defence chief meets Bangladesh army chief

Visiting Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force MK Mubarakh today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed at the Dhaka Cantonment.

“During the meeting, they discussed various issues of cooperation between Bangladesh and Rwanda, focusing on future progress, mutual exchange of favours, and the development of mutual ties in the days to come, according to a press release.

General Shafiuddin thanked his Rawnda counterpart Mubarrakh for visiting Dhaka and also paying the courtesy call on him.

Earlier, the Rwanda denfense force chief placed a wreath at Shikha Anirban (the Eternal Flame) at Dhaka Cantonment.

Later, a smart contingent of the armed forces gave Rwanda army chief a ‘guard of honour’ at Senakunja, where he planted a sapling.

General MK Mubarakh arrived here on Tuesday on a five-day official visit.

During the visit, he will visit the National Defence College in Mirpur Cantonment, the Bangabandhu Military Museum, the Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory in Rajendrapur Cantonment, the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training, and Cox’s Bazar, the release added. (BSS)
