PRAN Dairy Limited and Rangpur Foundry Limited, sister
concerns of the country’s leading business conglomerates, PRAN-RFL Group, have received the ‘President’s Award for Industrial Development 2021’ in recognition of their contributions to the national economy.
PRAN Dairy Limited won the first prize in the large industry category, while Rangpur Foundry Limited won the second prize in the small industry category.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the ‘President’s Award for
Industrial Development 2021’ to 20 companies in six categories at a function held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital today, according to a press release.
Agriculture Minister Dr. Md. Abdus Shahid, Industries Ministry Senior Secretary Zakia Sultana, and FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam, among others, were present at the program.
Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group, received the award on behalf of PRAN
Dairy Limited, and RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, received the award on behalf of Rangpur Foundry Limited.
About the award, Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director at PRAN-RFL Group, said, “PRAN-
RFL Group started its journey in 1981 with the aim of delivering quality products to the common people along with improving the socio-economic development and lifestyle of the people of the country.
PRAN-RFL Group has been playing an important role in the economy of the country through its activities since its inception.”
He also said that currently, there are around 145,000 people working in the PRAN-RFL Group, while the PRAN-RFL Group has 30 factories in different parts of the country. “Moreover, the products of PRAN-RFL Group are regularly exported to 145 countries in the world.
The President’s Award for Industrial Development will encourage us to play a more important role in the country’s economy.” (BSS)
