Emirates Group records $5.1 bn in annual profit, setting new record

Dubai’s Emirates Group announced on Monday annual profits of $5.1 billion, a 71-percent rise, setting a new record for the second year in a row.

“The Emirates Group has once again raised the bar to deliver a new record performance,” said chairman and chief executive Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Last year Emirates announced $3.0 billion in profits. (BSS/AFP)
