2 killed in Ctg road accident

At least two people were killed on the spot when a pickup van rammed a standing car beside Nizampur Ridwan Filling Station on Dhaka-Chattogram highway under Mirsarai upazila of the district today.

The victims were identified as van driver Masum Billah, 40, and car passenger Abdul Rahim, 42.

Police quoting local people said, a goods laden pickup van hit the car standing on the side of the road beside Nizampur Ridwan Filling Station on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway under Mirsarai upazila.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Hossain of Kumira Highway Police Station said two people died in the accident at Nizampur area. The bodies were recovered and kept at the police station. Family members of the deceased have been informed. Police seized both the vehicles. (BSS)
