Child drowns in Gomostapur

A child drowned in the river
Mohananda at Gomostapur upazila in the district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Omar Ali, 9, son of Anwar Hossain of
Khosalpara village under Gomostapur upazila in the district.

Police sources said, Omar Ali went to the river Mohananda to take bath along
with other children at 2 pm and drowned.

Being informed his family members with the help of the locals recovered the
body.

A case was recorded with Gomostapur police station. (BSS)
