Fire gutted four shops at Muksudpur in Gopalganj

Four shops were gutted in a fire at Salinabox market under Muksudpur upazila of the district here early hours of today.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit at a shop of the market at around 2am and soon engulfed the adjacent business establishments, as a result four shops of the market were completely gutted, Muksudpur Fire Services and Civil Defense Station officials said.

Being informed, fire fighter of Muksudpur Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the blaze with the help of locals and affected businessmen after one hour of efforts, they said.

An investigation committee has been formed to find out the cause and estimated loss in the fire, Muksudpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Imam Razi Tulu said. (BSS)
