Nominations invited for ‘Begum Rokeya Padak-2023’

Applications have been sought for nominations for ‘Begum Rokeya Padak-2023’.

Begum Rokeya Padak will be awarded to maximum five Bangladeshi women in recognition of their contributions in women’s education, their rights, socio-economic development and awakening women through literature and culture, rural development and any other field determined by the government, said a press release of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs today.

Bangladeshi women, fulfilling those criteria, are requested to apply for the nominations in the specific form (table) available on the official websites, the release added.

The application forms can be collected from the websites of the Women and Children’s Affairs Ministry and the Department of Women’s Affairs as following- www.mowca.gov.bd and www.dwa.gov.bd.

Applications or nomination papers will not be accepted in any of the ‘tables’ other than the prescribed ones.

The soft copy of the application must be sent by e-mail to [email protected].

Besides, two printouts of the form must be sent to: Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka, by July 31, 2023. (BSS)
