Stocks perform mixed

Stocks today performed mixed with major indices finishing flat.

The benchmark index of the Dhaka bourse closed the day with 1.27 point down at 6,251.29. The Shariah DSES and the blue-chip DS30 also followed the same trend with 0.28 point down at 1,360.44 and with 2.80 points down at 2,112.47.

Out of 329 issues traded, 100 closed lower, 56 advanced and 173 issues remained unchanged on the DSE floor.

The major gaining issues were CAPITECGBF, CENTRALPHL, BDTHAI, FUWANGCER and 1STPRIMFMF.

The major losing companies were SAMATALETH, GQBALLPEN, MONNOCERA, EMERALDOIL and AZIZPIPES.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with slightly upward trend with its major CASPI 9.34 points up at 18,546.52.

At CSE, 221 issues were traded. Of those, 52 closed higher and 51 closed lower when 59.79 lakh shares worth Taka 17.92 crore changed hands. (BSS)
