Sumaiya, Nishita named in Bangladesh’s ODI squad against Pakistan

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the squad for the three-match ODI series against Pakistan in Dhaka, a series which is a part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

Sumaiya Akter, who is just 15 and Nishita Akter Nishi, an 18-year old, are the only two new players in the team.

Experienced Lata Mondol was left out from the squad that drew their last ODI series at home against India by 1-1.

The three ODIs against Pakistan are scheduled on November 4, 7 and 10.

All of the matches will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from 9.30 AM.

Bangladesh earlier won the three-match T20 International series against Pakistan by 2-1.

Squad: Nigar Sultana Joty (Captain), Nahida Akter (Vice Captain), Fargana Hoque Pinky, Shamima Sultana, Sobhana Mostary, Ritu Moni, Shorna Akter, Fahima Khatun, Shanjida Akther Maghla, Rabeya, Marufa Akter, Disha Biswas, Murshida Khatun, Sumaiya Akter, Nishita Akter Nishi, Sultana Khatun (Subject to Fitness).
