Inter-college swimming, water polo tournament begins at RU

The 35th Inter-college swimming and water polo tournament-2023 of Rajshahi University (RU) began at its swimming pool today.

Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar inaugurated the competition through releasing balloons-festoons and white pigeons besides exchanging greetings with the player students this morning.

Afterwards, VC and Pro-VC Prof Humayun Kabir hoisted the national and university flags respectively, while provosts hoisted their respective hall flags on the occasion.

Dean of Engineering faculty Prof Abu Zafar Towhidul Islam, Proctor Prof Asabul Haque, Students Adviser Prof Jahangir Alam Saud, Registrar Prof Abdus Salam and Director of Physical Education Muhammad Ali were present there.

More than 100 players from 11 halls are taking part in 18 events of the two-day competition. (BSS)
