3 juvenile gang members held in C’nawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged juvenile gang members from Shibganj in Chapainawabganj district last night.

The arrestees were identified as Md Jibon, 20 (leader) of Choto Chakdoulatpur, Md Monjil Coton, 19 and Md Jisan Ali, 19 both of Chotochak village all under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.

On a tip-off, a special operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Doulatpur Upartola village in Shibganj upazila in the district at around 10 pm and arrested them with sharp weapons, drugs and drugs taking instruments, RAB sources said.

The sources added that they were the active members of an organised juvenile gang and they were involved in snatching, extortion and theft.

Later, the elite force handed them over to the police of Shibganj thana with a case. (BSS)
