14 helpless women get sewing machines in Sunamganj

A total of 14 helpless women living in the town received sewing machines to change their socio-economic condition today.

Mayor of Sunamganj Paurashava Nader Bakht distributed the sewing machines as the chief guest held at the hall room of the paurashava this afternoon.

Executive Engineer of the Paurashava Kali Krishna Pal, its Councilor Samina Chowdhury Mani and Accounts Officer Santosh Kumar Das, among others, were present.

The mayor said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing multifaceted measures to make backward women self-reliant.

The sewing machine was provided to helpless women from the funded by American expatriate Masud Ahmed. (BSS)
