People will never bring BNP to power: Razzaque

Agriculture Minister and Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Dr Abdur Razzaque today said the people of the country will never bring BNP to power.

“The people of the country are not with the BNP. People will never bring BNP to power,” he said, addressing the inauguration and discussion ceremony of the new building of ‘P.N.P Shaheed Faruk Md. Iqbal High School’ in city’s Dania area, a press release said.

Regarding BNP-Jamaat agitation, the minister said that BNP-Jamaat is agitating and conspiring as they want to repeat activities like strikes, blockades and burning people alive.

But BNP-Jamaat will not be allowed to do that again, he said, adding that the law enforcement agencies of the country are now more organized and capable than before.

BNP-Jamaat will not be allowed to enforce strike and burn a single person in this country, he added.

About Monga (famine-like situation) in the country, he said there is no food crisis in the Monga-prone areas as the present government has successfully eradicated Monga from the country by taking pragmatic steps such as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s agriculture-friendly policies. (BSS)
