President mourns death of Kazi Shahid Ahmed

President Mohammed Shahabuddin today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Kazi Shahid Ahmed, publisher and editor of the now-defunct newspaper “Dainik Ajker Kagoj”, founder of Gemcon Group and prominent sports organizer.

In a condolence message, he recalled with respect the contribution of Kazi Shahid to the field of journalism in the country.

“The nation will remember him with due respect for long,” the Head of the State said.

He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family. (BSS)
