International Day against Drug Abuse observed in Feni

International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking-2023 was observed in the district today with the theme “People First: stop stigma and discrimination, strengthen prevention.

Marking the day, a discussion meeting was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner at around 11:30 am.

Deputy Director of the district Department of Narcotics Control Mizanur Rahman Sharif presided over the meeting.

It was addressed, among others, by Deputy Director of district Local Govt Division Golam Md Baten and Additional Deputy Commissioner Avishek Das.

Golam Md Baten in his speech said we should not hate drug abusers. “We should be sympathetic to them for their rehabilitation in society,” he added.

Earlier a colorful rally was brought out in the town. (BSS)
