UK bank NatWest CEO resigns after Farage ‘error’

The chief executive of Britain’s NatWest bank, Alison Rose, has stepped down after admitting a “serious error of judgment” in speaking to a reporter about the banking affairs of arch-Brexiteer Nigel Farage.

NatWest chairman Howard Davies said in a statement on Wednesday that Rose and the board agreed on her resignation “by mutual consent”, adding that it was “a sad moment”. (BSS/AFP)
