IGP orders quality health services at CPH

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam today called upon all concerned to enhance the quality of health services at the Central Police Hospital (CPH) here.

“Perform duties with professionalism, sincerity and dedication to further enhance the quality of services at the Central Police Hospital,” he ordered the on duty doctors after visiting various departments of the hospital at Rajarbagh here.

The police chief also stressed the need for making the CPH up-to-date, he said.

The IGP inspected the hospital’s digital medical service receiving process (registration, OPD, consultation, medicine store, report delivery,) emergency department, radiology and imaging, ICU, dialysis unit and other departments. During the inspection, he witnessed the service receiving process of the service-receiving police members and their family members and provided necessary guidance, a press release of the Police Headquarters.

During the visit, he patiently listened to the doctors on duty and thanked the doctors and nurses for continuing to provide medical services to the police members.

On average, about 4,500 policemen and their family members receive medical services at the CPH every day. About, 1,500 policemen receive pathological reports every day.

In addition, 712 operations were successfully completed in the eye department and 6,467 operations in other departments last year.

Central Police Hospital Director (DIG) Sardar Nurul Amin, Additional DIG (Administration and Finance) Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque and Superintendent Dr. ABM Md. Khorshed Alam were present. (BSS)
