Newly-elected RCC Mayor pays homage to Bangabandhu

The newly-elected Mayor of Rajshahi City
Corporation (RCC) AHM Khairuzzaman Liton today paid rich tributes to Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying a floral wreath on
his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the city’s Dhanmondi
area this afternoon.

After laying the wreath, the RCC Mayor stood in solemn silence for some time
as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu along with the
party leaders.

AL Central Committee member Akhtar Jahan, Acting President of Rajshahi
Metropolitan Awami League Mohammad Ali Kamal, Vice-President Shaheen Akhtar,
Acting President of Rajshahi District Awami League Anil Kumar Sarkar and
Lawmakers Eng. Enamul Haque and Adiba Anjum Mita were present, among others.

Later, the RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, also a presidium member of
Bangladesh Awami League, placed another wreath on the portrait of Bangabandhu
along with the newly-elected RCC Councilors. (BSS)
