Youth and sports affairs adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan today congratulated the Bangladesh national cricket team on its historic Test series win against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.
“Bangladesh got a six-wicket glorious and historic victory in the Second Test to complete a 2-0 clean sweep victory in the two Test series against Pakistan,” said the adviser.
He said the country’s sports arena is witnessing successes as a result of mass upsurge taken place through the Anti-discrimination student movement in July last.
“The country will be able to gain more successes in sports if the sports are kept free from politicization and corruption,” he said. Asif hoped that this winning trend would continue in the country’s sports arena in future. (BSS)
