BNP trying to carry out arson terrorism ahead of elections: Amu

Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and Central 14-party alliance Coordinator and Spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu today said that BNP is plotting to carry out arson terrorism again ahead of the next general election.

“Every leader and activist of Awami League should remain active in the field unitedly to face any kind of conspiracy of BNP ahead of the upcoming national elections,” he said.

The veteran ruling party leader made the remarks while he was virtually addressing a peace rally organized by Jhalakathi district unit of Jubo League at Fire Service intersection in the district.

Jhalakathi district unit Convener of Jubo League Rezaul Karim Zakir presided over the rally, organized for continuing the development and progress and building ‘Smart Bangladesh’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Noting that the people have not forgotten the arson attacks of BNP, Amu said, “BNP started arson terrorism in the country in the name of movement. They killed general people setting them on fire”.

Executive members of Central Jubo League Manik Lal Ghosh and Tanin Talukder, Jhalakathi Sadar Upazila Jubo League Convener Emran Hossain Shakti and Joint Convener Ali Asgar Akash spoke at the rally, among others.

Jhalakathi district unit Joint Convener of Jubo League Kamal Sharif conducted the rally.

The speakers, at the rally, vowed to resist any terrorist acts of BNP-Jamaat and remain active in the field unitedly. (BSS)
